Nature: habitat measured without disturbing it: what we deliver. The loop, step by step: 1. A valley site at first light. 2. The chain from source to console stands ready. 3. Cloud and wind sweep up the valley. 4. The station and the vault register it. 5. Each reading is stamped with time and place. 6. Signed packets hop over the radio link. 7. The relay forwards sealed packets untouched. 8. The edge verifies every signature first. 9. The edge model checks it against its limit. 10. Only a confirmed result leaves the edge. 11. The alert reaches the operator console. 12. The alert arrives with its evidence attached. 13. The whole chain is archived for audit. 14. Everything settles back to idle.

  1. Nature · Solutions

    Habitat, measured without disturbing it

Bioacoustic and camera networks, forest-fire detection and fire weather, land-cover change from orbit and drone, and habitat monitoring that turns permit conditions and restoration commitments into measurements. Needs: species presence by sound and image, fire weather and ignition, land-cover and canopy change, soil and microclimate and evidence for permits and restoration.

  2. Solution

    Biodiversity and habitat monitoring

Acoustic sensors, camera traps that exclude people, eDNA sampling logistics and EO habitat change for nature programmes and disclosures. For conservation programmes, corporates, lenders, agencies. Delivered as managed service and data licence. Landscape scale. Crews, software and records stay the same as the network grows.

  3. Solution

    Wildfire camera and fire-weather networks

Camera towers with edge inference and co-located fire-weather stations; detections go to the agency that decides and dispatches. For forestry and emergency agencies, utilities. Delivered as hardware + software and managed service. Regional networks across fire seasons. Crews, software and records stay the same as the network grows.

  4. Solution

Earth observation tasking, processing and change detection

SAR and optical acquisition planning, analysis-ready processing and change detection checked against field truth, delivered as STAC and COG. For insurers, lenders, agencies, infrastructure and resource operators. Delivered as data licence and professional services. Global. Changes are versioned, tested and reversible.

  5. Solution

    Environmental and permit monitoring

Emissions, water quality, noise and dust monitoring for permit conditions, with traceable calibration and evidence bundles. For industrial operators, municipalities, regulators. Delivered as managed service and data licence. Site to portfolio. Service levels are written as numbers you can measure.

  6. Solution

Drone survey and 3D site twins

Survey campaigns planned to the ground sample distance, photogrammetry and LiDAR, and site twins kept current. For utilities, mines, construction, telecom. Delivered as professional services and data licence. Per site; recurring campaigns. It runs on the open Observatory Protocol, so other providers can join.

  7. Scenario

Methane fenceline and site-level continuous monitoring

Regulatory cadences in the EU and reporting levels in voluntary frameworks. It builds on the same base node, timing, trust and operations as every other nature deployment, so it can start small and grow site by site. Crews, software and records stay the same as the network grows.

  8. Scenario

Biodiversity measurement with acoustics and camera traps

Acoustic baselines as a biodiversity data source; no registry methodology accepting acoustic data was found. It builds on the same base node, timing, trust and operations as every other nature deployment, so it can start small and grow site by site.

  9. How it works

From instrument to record, in one chain

An instrument reads; the base node checks the value, stamps time and place, signs it and sends it over the link the site has: cellular, LoRaWAN, private 5G or satellite. The edge verifies the signature before admitting it, and the core catalogues it with its metadata, quality flag and licence.

  10. Trust

Every node proves what it is

A node joins only after its hardware root of trust answers an attestation challenge. Keys stay in secure hardware, software arrives signed, and every reading carries a signature, so its origin can be checked by anyone downstream without asking us.

  11. Time and place

Every reading carries when and where

Readings are stamped against a disciplined clock, from satellite time or a PTP grandmaster, together with the station position and its siting record. When time or position is degraded, the record says so instead of hiding it, and every analyst downstream sees the same warning.

  12. What you get

Open where it can be, contracted where it must be

The protocol, methods and open data are free to use and build on. Sites, fleets, managed operations and data tiers are delivered under contract by Nexus Observatory Inc., priced per site and per fleet, with service levels written as numbers you can measure on your own dashboard.

  13. Next step

    Plan a nature deployment

Tell us the sites, the measurements and the people who will use them. We reply with a design and a scope for nature. An engineer replies with a survey proposal and a scope, and the plan grows from one site to the network you need, at your pace.

07Questions buyers ask

Before you scope it.

Who sells, and who owns the data?

Nexus Observatory Inc. is the seller of record. The data your systems collect stays yours, under the licence you choose.

Do we have to buy hardware?

No. We deliver as a managed service, a data licence or a system you own.

Can we start small?

Yes. Start with one station or one site, then grow to a fleet and a network on the same open protocol, without replacing what you bought.

Which standards do the systems meet?

Each system is drawn against the open protocol and the standards it is composed from, listed on this page.

What happens after go-live?

We run the systems to a written service level, with monitoring, repair and an evidence trail, or train your team to run them.

Ready when you are.
