Learning paths: from a first sensor to a commissioned site, one stage after another. The loop, step by step: 1. A sensor, a shelter and a tower, three lessons. 2. The chain from source to console stands ready. 3. First lesson: how a sensor measures. 4. Time and place are fixed to every sample. 5. Second lesson: how the data travels. 6. The relay forwards sealed packets untouched. 7. Signatures are checked before any model runs. 8. Third lesson: how the edge decides. 9. The edge releases confirmed results only. 10. Each lesson ends with a short quiz. 11. The console shows the evidence with the alert. 12. A path to the next level opens. 13. Instruments confirm the response took effect. 14. The whole chain is archived for audit. 15. Everything settles back to idle.

Training curricula

Courses for operators, technicians and users, with assessment. In learning paths, part of Training and enablement, the operations, NOC, support and training layer holds training curricula, drawn against ISO 10015:2019. We build it into every site for learning paths against that standard, and keep its version and its test results on the site’s record.

Die probleem

From first principles to a commissioned site

Networks run for years; staff change. A system only the vendor understands is a system you rent forever, and one that degrades the day the vendor leaves. Training is how a network stays yours, and how its quality survives staff changes, contracts and years.

From first principles to a commissioned site

Networks run for years; staff change. A system only the vendor understands is a system you rent forever, and one that degrades the day the vendor leaves. Training is how a network stays yours, and how its quality survives staff changes, contracts and years.

  2. What it does

    Specification
ISO 10015:2019 (competence management and people development)
  3. Calibration

    WIGOS metadata

Station and instrument metadata to the WMO standard so others can interpret observations. In learning paths, part of Training and enablement, the calibration, metadata and quality control layer holds WIGOS metadata, drawn against WMO-No. We build it into every site for learning paths against that standard, and keep its version and its test results on the site’s record.

    Specification
WMO-No. 1192 (WIGOS Metadata Standard) · WMO-No. 1160 (Manual on WIGOS, station identifiers)
  4. Operations, NOC, support and training

    Personnel competence schemes

Independent assessment of individual competence where clients or regulators require it. In learning paths, part of Training and enablement, the operations, NOC, support and training layer holds personnel competence schemes, drawn against ISO/IEC 17024. We build it into every site for learning paths against that standard, and keep its version and its test results on the site’s record.

    Specification
    ISO/IEC 17024
  5. Time and place

When and where, on every record

Every record made for learning paths carries its time, from a clock disciplined by satellite time or a PTP grandmaster, with the position and siting record of the station that made it. When time or position degrades, the record for learning paths says so, and every user downstream sees the same warning.

  6. Meteorology

    Siting classification

Classes for the exposure of each instrument so data users know how representative a site is. In learning paths, part of Training and enablement, the meteorology layer holds siting classification, drawn against WMO-No. 8 siting classifications for surface observing stations and ISO 19289:2014.

    Specification
WMO-No. 8 siting classifications for surface observing stations · ISO 19289:2014
  7. Vertroue

    Proved before it is trusted

A node joins a network for learning paths only after its hardware root of trust answers an attestation challenge. Its keys stay in secure hardware, its software arrives signed and every record it makes for learning paths carries a signature, so anyone downstream can check where a value came from.

  8. Bewyse

    Traced to its specifications

We trace each part of learning paths to its specification: ISO 10015:2019, WMO-No. 8 siting classifications for surface observing stations and ISO 19289:2014. We keep the versions, configurations and test results of learning paths as signed records, so a buyer or an auditor can check what was delivered against what was specified.

    Standaarde
    ISO 10015:2019 · WMO-No. 8 siting classifications for surface observing stations · ISO 19289:2014 · WMO-No. 1192
  9. Failure and recovery

When a node fails, the fleet knows first

When a node for learning paths goes silent or a sensor drifts, the node buffers its data and fails over to a second link where the site has one. The alert carries the evidence a responder needs, and the record for learning paths loses nothing and counts nothing twice.

  10. Bywerkings

    Updates in rings, with rollback

Software and configuration reach a fleet for learning paths in rings: one canary site first, then a few, then all, each ring gated on health and data completeness. A failed gate stops the wave, and each node for learning paths returns to its last good release without a site visit.

  11. How it scales

    One base unit, repeated

A network for learning paths starts with one base node and the instruments it reads. A station adds power and radio, a site adds a relay and a fleet repeats the proven site, so capacity for learning paths grows by adding units, never by replacing what works.

  12. What you get

    Academy paths, on-site enablement

Academy paths, guides and the glossary are open. Operator and technician training and on-site enablement are contracted; pricing follows the people trained and the sites involved, and the material remains available to your team. Courses can run on your site, at ours or remotely for the theory, with the practical parts always on real equipment.

  13. Next step

    Learning paths, planned with you

Tell us the sites, the systems learning paths must work with and the outcome you need, with a map or a list of addresses if you have one. An engineer replies with a survey proposal, a design and a scope for learning paths, and the plan grows from one site to the network you need.

01Wat dit is

Operations, NOC, support and training.

Everything that happens on the ground across a site’s life: survey, permits, design packs, logistics, installation, acceptance, training, operations, maintenance, upgrades, decommission and recycling, done safely and recorded as evidence. Instruments placed in the air, water, ground and spectrum, from weather stations to seismometers, radars and cameras, with the calibration, metadata and quality control that make their readings evidence. Each technology below carries what it is, what we do with it, and the standard it is drawn against.
