  1. Energy · Use cases

    The grid edge, observed

Right-of-way and line monitoring, fire weather along transmission corridors, microgrids and site power, timing for protection and synchrophasors, and resource measurement for solar and wind that a lender can rely on. Needs: line and right-of-way condition, fire weather along corridors, solar and wind resource, timing for protection and substation and site power.

  2. Use case

    Remote microgrid observatory

Solar, storage and power-quality telemetry with a weather station and a small cell, for a community that is reducing diesel. For remote communities, utilities, Indigenous power producers. Data products: diesel offset and power-quality records and solar-resource measurements. Drawn against IEEE 1547, IEEE 2030.5 and National electrical codes.

    Standards
    IEEE 1547 · IEEE 2030.5 · National electrical codes
  3. Use case

Bankable solar and wind resource station

A met mast or lidar with secondary-standard pyranometers and a traceable calibration chain, for a measurement campaign lenders accept. For renewable-energy developers. Data products: resource datasets with data-recovery statistics. Drawn against IEC 61724-1 (PV monitoring classes), IEC 61400-12 and 61400-50-3, MEASNET procedures and ISO/IEC 17025 calibration.

  4. Use case

Utility grid-edge private LTE and wildfire weather

Private LTE on substations and poles for distribution automation, with weather nodes that inform public-safety power shutoff decisions. For electric utilities. Data products: fault location, isolation and service restoration telemetry, distributed-energy control and islanding events and wildfire-risk weather observations. Drawn against 3GPP Band 106, IEC 61850, IEEE 1547 / 2030.5 and NERC CIP.

    Standards
    3GPP Band 106 · IEC 61850 · IEEE 1547 / 2030.5 · NERC CIP
  5. Use case

    Wildfire camera and fire-weather node

Pan-tilt and thermal cameras with edge inference on a ridgeline tower, co-located with a fire-weather station. For electric utilities, provinces and states, counties. Data products: smoke-detection alerts to dispatch, labelled supplementary, public camera feeds and fire-weather indices. Drawn against OASIS CAP 1.2 (outbound alerts), NWCG RAWS standards and NFPA 1600.

  6. Trust

Every node proves what it is

A node joins only after its hardware root of trust answers an attestation challenge. Keys stay in secure hardware, software arrives signed, and every reading carries a signature, so its origin can be checked by anyone downstream without asking us.

  7. Time and place

Every reading carries when and where

Readings are stamped against a disciplined clock, from satellite time or a PTP grandmaster, together with the station position and its siting record. When time or position is degraded, the record says so instead of hiding it, and every analyst downstream sees the same warning.

  8. How it scales

    One base unit, repeated

A programme starts with one base node and the instruments it reads. A station adds power and radio, a site adds a relay, a fleet repeats the proven site across many places, and a network federates fleets through edge and core. Capacity grows by adding units, never by replacing what works.

  9. Updates

    Updates in rings, with rollback

Software and configuration reach the fleet in rings: a canary site first, then a few, then all, each ring gated on health and data completeness. A failed gate stops the wave and returns each node to its last good release, without a site visit.

  10. Operations

Every node watched, every incident closed

The operations console shows every node with its state, its plan and its evidence. Alerts arrive with their data and a runbook; acknowledging one opens a work order, and an incident closes only when the cause is recorded and the fix verified.

  11. Field service

One crew, from survey to repair

The same crew surveys, installs, commissions, calibrates and repairs, working from the site’s own record. Each visit updates it, so the next crew knows exactly what is there, when it was last checked and why it was changed. Spares and references are planned from that history.

  12. What you get

    Power-grid edge and right-of-way monitoring

Line temperature and sag, vegetation encroachment from EO and LiDAR, substation sensors and fire-weather at the right-of-way. Delivered as managed service and data licence, for electric utilities and transmission operators. Scale: Utility service territories. Service levels are written as numbers you can measure on your own dashboard.

    Plan an energy deployment

Tell us the sites, the measurements and the people who will use them. We reply with a design and a scope for energy. An engineer replies with a survey proposal and a scope, and the plan grows from one site to the network you need, at your pace.
