Earth observation: a radar satellite’s swath crossing real relief, the downlink to a ground station. The loop, step by step: 1. A satellite, a station and a valley below. 2. Sensor, link, edge and console stand ready. 3. A radar satellite rises and sweeps its swath. 4. Instruments confirm the response took effect. 5. The swath images the valley floor. 6. Each reading is stamped with time and place. 7. The data is downlinked to the ground station. 8. The relay forwards sealed packets untouched. 9. The edge verifies every signature first. 10. Processing turns echoes into a displacement map. 11. Only a confirmed result leaves the edge. 12. The product is delivered to the customer. 13. The console shows the evidence with the alert. 14. A subscriber sees the change since last pass. 15. Instruments confirm the response took effect. 16. Record, proof and action are archived together. 17. Everything settles back to idle.

At a glance

The ground, measured and modelled

Earth observation & GeoAI combines ground-segment downlink and processing at the edge, drone and imagery campaigns planned to the ground sample distance, 3D site twins, and GeoAI trained and checked against field truth. Every layer carries its source and licence, so a user can see exactly what it was made from and how far it can be trusted.

সমস্যা

Images without ground truth

Satellite and drone imagery cover the land, but a model trained without field truth confidently maps the wrong thing. Earth observation is only as good as the measurements it is checked against. Every map that looks precise but has never been checked on the ground is a risk passed on to whoever relies on it.

  1. সমস্যা

    Images without ground truth

Satellite and drone imagery cover the land, but a model trained without field truth confidently maps the wrong thing. Earth observation is only as good as the measurements it is checked against. Every map that looks precise but has never been checked on the ground is a risk passed on to whoever relies on it.

  2. What it does

  3. Drones and imagery

Campaigns planned to the resolution needed

Drone flights are planned to the ground sample distance the question needs, with ground control and repeatable routes, so two campaigns months apart can be compared pixel for pixel. Every flight follows a written plan, and its imagery is checked against ground control before it is used.

    See Drones and imagery
  4. The system

    One station, part by part

Before anything is installed, the station is laid out as its parts: instrument, logger and edge compute, secure element, GNSS timing, radio, power, enclosure, wiring, earthing, mast and foundation.

  5. Assembly

Built and tested before it ships

Each part is fitted to the pole and the enclosure, wired through surge protection to one earth, powered and bench-tested until it signs its first reading.

  6. Installation

    Installed on site

The crew arrives with the tested kit: foundation, mast raised and guyed, instruments mounted, cables run in conduit, the enclosure fitted out and the site commissioned.

  7. Deployment

    Site after site, one design

The same station goes in at every site on the plan, each commissioned against the same checklist, until the field is covered.

  8. Wiring

    Signal, power and time, wired

Inside one site the instrument’s signal pair runs to the logger, solar charges the battery that feeds the load, GNSS time reaches the clock and the logger hands its records to the radio.

  9. Site twins

    The site, measured in 3D

Photogrammetry and lidar produce twins measured to scale, used to plan installations, measure change and brief crews before they travel. The twin becomes the shared reference for engineers, crews and owners, and is updated when the site changes. Twins are repeated on a schedule, so change between two dates can be measured rather than guessed.

    See Site twins
  10. Connections

    Backhaul, time and power

The relay carries every site to the edge over a point-to-point link, the grandmaster’s time reaches every clock, and each site keeps its power through the night.

  11. Ground segment

Downlink and process at the edge

Passes are received at a ground station and processed beside it, so analysis-ready products leave instead of raw downlinks. Each scene keeps its acquisition, processing and licence history. Processing beside the antenna means less data on the wire and products ready sooner after each pass.

  12. এটি কীভাবে কাজ করে

    Field truth beside every model

Ground stations measure what the imagery infers: temperature, moisture, fluxes, species. GeoAI models are trained and validated against those measurements, and their error is published with the product. Ground truth is collected on a schedule and under a written protocol, so validation is repeatable year after year.

  13. GeoAI

    Models checked against field truth

Every model has a validation report against independent field data, a version and a licence. When the field changes, the model is re-evaluated before its next product ships. Accuracy is reported per product and per area, so a user knows where the model is strong and where it is weak.

  14. পণ্য

Layers with their sources in view

Products are catalogued with STAC and ISO 19115 metadata, so every layer shows its sources, its licence and its accuracy before anyone builds on it. Licences and sources are visible before download, so nobody builds on a layer they are not allowed to use.

    Metadata
    STAC · ISO 19115
  15. Operations

    Tasking, capture and processing, scheduled

Requests for imagery are scheduled against passes, weather and drone crews; processing queues and delivery promises are visible in one console. Requests, passes and flights are tracked to delivery, so a user knows when the product they need will arrive.

  16. How it scales

From one site to a continent

The same pipeline runs for one survey or a national programme: more passes, more campaigns and more ground stations feed the same catalogue, and products are tiled and versioned as coverage grows. A national programme is many local campaigns run to one method, with one catalogue and one quality standard.

  17. What you get

    Campaigns and twins, under contract

The observatories atlas, the world grid and map sources with licences are open. Capture campaigns and site twins are contracted, with products delivered into your own systems. Products are delivered under the licence each source allows, with residency fixed by contract where needed.

    Plan a campaign

Tell us the area, the question and the resolution you need. We plan the campaign, the ground truth and the products. The plan states the coverage, the revisit and the validation the products will carry, and the products are delivered to your own systems under the licence each source allows.
