What we deliver for communities.

Enterprise offers, each designed, deployed and run on the open protocol, and each linked to the service platforms that build it.

  1. Communities · Solutions

Connectivity and observation the community owns

Community cellular and broadband, microgrids that keep them on, and local weather, water and ice stations, designed so the community holds the network, the data and the decisions about both. Needs: coverage where carriers do not build, power for remote sites, local weather, water and ice, data governance held by the community and local skills to operate.

  2. Solution

    Municipal sensing and connectivity layers

City-wide LPWAN or private 5G as a shared layer for public sensors and services. For cities, regional governments. Delivered as managed service. City-wide. It runs on the open Observatory Protocol, so other providers can join. Crews, software and records stay the same as the network grows.

  3. Solution

    Private Wireless as a Service

Standalone private 5G or LTE for a site, campus, port or mine: radios, core, SIMs, spectrum route and operations. For industrial operators, ports, campuses, venues, public safety. Delivered as managed service and hardware + software. Per site; fleets of sites.

  4. Solution

    Microgrids and off-grid site power

PV, storage and generator sizing for instruments and edge sites, with telemetry and remote control. For remote sites, telecom, agencies, communities. Delivered as hardware + software and managed service. Per site; fleets. Every reading and every change leaves a record that can be checked later.

  5. Solution

    Sensing as a Service

Observation networks designed, installed, operated and maintained for a monthly fee: weather, hydromet, air, seismic and environmental stations, with data delivered under a licence. For agencies, utilities, municipalities, insurers, agribusiness. Delivered as managed service and data licence. Global, multi-site, per-site pricing.

  6. Solution

Operator and technician training on delivered systems

Hands-on courses for customer staff on the systems they run; no public credentials are issued by the group. For customers operating delivered systems. Delivered as professional services. Per programme. Service levels are written as numbers you can measure. It is delivered and supported by Nexus Observatory Inc.

  7. Scenario

    Indigenous-owned community cellular

Unused 800 MHz and 1900 MHz spectrum through an access-licensing framework with a priority window for Indigenous applicants. It builds on the same base node, timing, trust and operations as every other communities deployment, so it can start small and grow site by site.

  8. Scenario

Last-mile fixed wireless with community anchor sensing

Sub-grantee partnerships where observatory nodes co-host at schools, clinics and fire halls. It builds on the same base node, timing, trust and operations as every other communities deployment, so it can start small and grow site by site. It is delivered and supported by Nexus Observatory Inc.

  9. How it works

From instrument to record, in one chain

An instrument reads; the base node checks the value, stamps time and place, signs it and sends it over the link the site has: cellular, LoRaWAN, private 5G or satellite. The edge verifies the signature before admitting it, and the core catalogues it with its metadata, quality flag and licence.

  10. Trust

Every node proves what it is

A node joins only after its hardware root of trust answers an attestation challenge. Keys stay in secure hardware, software arrives signed, and every reading carries a signature, so its origin can be checked by anyone downstream without asking us.

  11. Time and place

Every reading carries when and where

Readings are stamped against a disciplined clock, from satellite time or a PTP grandmaster, together with the station position and its siting record. When time or position is degraded, the record says so instead of hiding it, and every analyst downstream sees the same warning.

  12. What you get

Open where it can be, contracted where it must be

The protocol, methods and open data are free to use and build on. Sites, fleets, managed operations and data tiers are delivered under contract by Nexus Observatory Inc., priced per site and per fleet, with service levels written as numbers you can measure on your own dashboard.

  13. Next step

    Plan a communities deployment

Tell us the sites, the measurements and the people who will use them. We reply with a design and a scope for communities. An engineer replies with a survey proposal and a scope, and the plan grows from one site to the network you need, at your pace.

07Questions buyers ask

Before you scope it.

Who sells, and who owns the data?

Nexus Observatory Inc. is the seller of record. The data your systems collect stays yours, under the licence you choose.

Do we have to buy hardware?

No. We deliver as a managed service, a data licence or a system you own.

Can we start small?

Yes. Start with one station or one site, then grow to a fleet and a network on the same open protocol, without replacing what you bought.

Which standards do the systems meet?

Each system is drawn against the open protocol and the standards it is composed from, listed on this page.

What happens after go-live?

We run the systems to a written service level, with monitoring, repair and an evidence trail, or train your team to run them.
