What we deliver for cities.

Enterprise offers, each designed, deployed and run on the open protocol, and each linked to the service platforms that build it.

  1. Cities · Solutions

The city, measured block by block

Street-level flood depth, air quality and heat, mobility and noise, carried on a municipal sensing and connectivity layer, with twins of the streets they sit in and open data residents can read. Needs: street flooding, air quality and urban heat, structural condition of public assets, connectivity for municipal sensors and open data for residents.

  2. Solution

    Municipal sensing and connectivity layers

City-wide LPWAN or private 5G as a shared layer for public sensors and services. For cities, regional governments. Delivered as managed service. City-wide. It runs on the open Observatory Protocol, so other providers can join. Crews, software and records stay the same as the network grows.

  3. Solution

    Hybrid air-quality networks

Reference analysers plus calibrated low-cost nodes, with co-location calibration and an open-data interface. For cities, environment agencies, industrial sites. Delivered as managed service and data licence. City-wide to national. The same design repeats from the first site to the last.

  4. Solution

    Structural and ground-movement monitoring

GNSS, InSAR, tilt, strain and fibre sensing on bridges, dams, slopes, tailings and pipelines, with alert thresholds set by the owner. For infrastructure, mining and pipeline operators, transport agencies. Delivered as managed service and data licence. Asset portfolios. The same design repeats from the first site to the last.

  5. Solution

Drone survey and 3D site twins

Survey campaigns planned to the ground sample distance, photogrammetry and LiDAR, and site twins kept current. For utilities, mines, construction, telecom. Delivered as professional services and data licence. Per site; recurring campaigns. It runs on the open Observatory Protocol, so other providers can join.

  6. Scenario

    Hybrid air-quality network

Reference analysers plus calibrated low-cost nodes; low-cost sensors alone do not meet regulatory requirements. It builds on the same base node, timing, trust and operations as every other cities deployment, so it can start small and grow site by site.

  7. Scenario

Municipal low-power radio or private 5G layer

A city-wide connectivity layer as digital public infrastructure. It builds on the same base node, timing, trust and operations as every other cities deployment, so it can start small and grow site by site. The evidence travels with the data wherever it goes.

  8. How it works

From instrument to record, in one chain

An instrument reads; the base node checks the value, stamps time and place, signs it and sends it over the link the site has: cellular, LoRaWAN, private 5G or satellite. The edge verifies the signature before admitting it, and the core catalogues it with its metadata, quality flag and licence.

  9. Trust

Every node proves what it is

A node joins only after its hardware root of trust answers an attestation challenge. Keys stay in secure hardware, software arrives signed, and every reading carries a signature, so its origin can be checked by anyone downstream without asking us.

  10. Time and place

Every reading carries when and where

Readings are stamped against a disciplined clock, from satellite time or a PTP grandmaster, together with the station position and its siting record. When time or position is degraded, the record says so instead of hiding it, and every analyst downstream sees the same warning.

  11. How it scales

    One base unit, repeated

A programme starts with one base node and the instruments it reads. A station adds power and radio, a site adds a relay, a fleet repeats the proven site across many places, and a network federates fleets through edge and core. Capacity grows by adding units, never by replacing what works.

  12. What you get

Open where it can be, contracted where it must be

The protocol, methods and open data are free to use and build on. Sites, fleets, managed operations and data tiers are delivered under contract by Nexus Observatory Inc., priced per site and per fleet, with service levels written as numbers you can measure on your own dashboard.

  13. Next step

    Plan a cities deployment

Tell us the sites, the measurements and the people who will use them. We reply with a design and a scope for cities. An engineer replies with a survey proposal and a scope, and the plan grows from one site to the network you need, at your pace.

01Specialized fields

Solutions shaped for each field.

Every offer is configured for the field it serves. Open a field for its stack, its data path and the questions buyers ask.

Specialized field

Urban air quality

Reference stations and dense sensor networks for particles and gases, with weather to trace sources, calibrated against each other, on cellular and LoRaWAN, for street-level maps people can trust. The full field →
Specialized field

Urban heat and trees

Street-level temperature and humidity across neighbourhoods, tree soil moisture and heat-health alerts, on LoRaWAN across the city, so cooling and watering go where people suffer most. The full field →
Specialized field

Streets and mobility

Counts of people, bikes and vehicles, speeds, kerb use and junction safety by camera and radar processed at the edge, on private 5G and fibre, so streets are planned on evidence and privacy is kept. The full field →
Specialized field

Public buildings and energy

Energy, heat and water meters, indoor air and comfort in schools, offices and pools, with weather for normalisation, on the buildings’ own networks behind a security gateway. The full field →
Specialized field

Waste and street services

Bin fill levels, collection routes, transfer station gas and weather, on LoRaWAN across the city, so crews empty what is full and the waste record follows from the work. The full field →
Specialized field

Noise and the night-time city

Class 1 noise monitoring at hot spots, event classification at the edge for nightlife, construction and traffic, with weather, on cellular, so complaints are answered with evidence and noise plans work. The full field →

07Questions buyers ask

Before you scope it.

Who sells, and who owns the data?

Nexus Observatory Inc. is the seller of record. The data your systems collect stays yours, under the licence you choose.

Do we have to buy hardware?

No. We deliver as a managed service, a data licence or a system you own.

Can we start small?

Yes. Start with one station or one site, then grow to a fleet and a network on the same open protocol, without replacing what you bought.

Which standards do the systems meet?

Each system is drawn against the open protocol and the standards it is composed from, listed on this page.

What happens after go-live?

We run the systems to a written service level, with monitoring, repair and an evidence trail, or train your team to run them.
