Lab testing: a node through temperature, humidity and vibration in the chamber. The loop, step by step: 1. A device waits inside an environmental chamber. 2. Sensor, link, edge and console stand ready. 3. The chamber drops to minus forty. 4. The device is exercised as it cools. 5. Time and place are fixed to every sample. 6. Every sample is signed by the rig. 7. Heat and humidity follow in turn. 8. Instruments confirm the response took effect. 9. The edge verifies every signature first. 10. Limits are compared with the specification. 11. Only a confirmed result leaves the edge. 12. The report is signed at the desk. 13. The console shows the evidence with the alert. 14. Record, proof and action are archived together. 15. Everything settles back to idle.

Environmental test series

Standard tests for heat, cold, damp heat, vibration, shock and temperature change. In lab testing, part of Test and qualification, the environmental and EMC testing layer holds environmental test series, drawn against IEC 60068-2 series and used beside transport and packaging tests on the same sites.

Environmental, RF, power and EMC, on the bench

Datasheets promise performance in conditions nobody’s site will see. Buyers, auditors and regulators need results they can check, from tests they can repeat. Without independent, repeatable tests, every comparison between suppliers is a comparison between marketing documents; qualification replaces claims with measured results, published either way.

  2. What it does

  3. Environmental and EMC testing

    Seismic qualification

Anchorage and shake testing for equipment in seismic zones. In lab testing, part of Test and qualification, the environmental and EMC testing layer holds seismic qualification, drawn against IEEE 693 and NEBS GR-63-CORE. We build it into every site for lab testing against that standard, and keep its version and its test results on the site’s record.

    Specification
IEEE 693 (seismic design for substations) · NEBS GR-63-CORE (earthquake zones)
  4. Environmental and EMC testing

    Telecom outdoor equipment tests

Test specifications for equipment in outdoor and unprotected locations. In lab testing, part of Test and qualification, the environmental and EMC testing layer holds telecom outdoor equipment tests, drawn against ETSI EN 300 019-2-4. We build it into every site for lab testing against that standard, and keep its version and its test results on the site’s record.

    Specification
    ETSI EN 300 019-2-4
  5. Environmental and EMC testing

    Electromagnetic compatibility

Emissions and immunity so equipment neither causes nor suffers interference. In lab testing, part of Test and qualification, the environmental and EMC testing layer holds electromagnetic compatibility, drawn against IEC 61000-6-2 and 61000-6-4 and CISPR 32 and CISPR 35. We build it into every site for lab testing against that standard, and keep its version and its test results on the site’s record.

    Specification
    IEC 61000-6-2 and 61000-6-4 · CISPR 32 and CISPR 35
  6. Environmental and EMC testing

    MIL-STD-810H-type tailored testing

Life-cycle environmental tailoring with methods for altitude, sand, rain, icing and shock. In lab testing, part of Test and qualification, the environmental and EMC testing layer holds MIL-STD-810H-type tailored testing, drawn against MIL-STD-810H and used beside highly accelerated life testing on the same sites.

    Specification
    MIL-STD-810H
  7. Vertroue

    Proved before it is trusted

A node joins a network for lab testing only after its hardware root of trust answers an attestation challenge. Its keys stay in secure hardware, its software arrives signed and every record it makes for lab testing carries a signature, so anyone downstream can check where a value came from.

  8. Bewyse

    Traced to its specifications

We trace each part of lab testing to its specification: IEC 60068-2 series, MIL-STD-810H and ETSI EN 300 019-2-4. We keep the versions, configurations and test results of lab testing as signed records, so a buyer or an auditor can check what was delivered against what was specified.

  9. Operations

Every node watched, every incident closed

The operations console shows every node of a network for lab testing with its state, its plan and its evidence. An alert arrives with its data and a runbook, acknowledging it opens a work order, and an incident for lab testing closes only when the operator records the cause and verifies the fix.

  10. Failure and recovery

When a node fails, the fleet knows first

When a node for lab testing goes silent or a sensor drifts, the node buffers its data and fails over to a second link where the site has one. The alert carries the evidence a responder needs, and the record for lab testing loses nothing and counts nothing twice.

  11. Bywerkings

    Updates in rings, with rollback

Software and configuration reach a fleet for lab testing in rings: one canary site first, then a few, then all, each ring gated on health and data completeness. A failed gate stops the wave, and each node for lab testing returns to its last good release without a site visit.

  12. What you get

    Qualification and the works-with programme

The conformance tool and test plans are open. Device and software qualification, the works-with programme and field trial management are contracted. Works-with testing gives makers a recognised way to show their products join any grid built on the specification, with results published either way.

    Lab testing, planned with you

Tell us the sites, the systems lab testing must work with and the outcome you need, with a map or a list of addresses if you have one. An engineer replies with a survey proposal, a design and a scope for lab testing, and the plan grows from one site to the network you need.
