Tracking, telemetry and command and space safety.

Technologies

• TT&C radio links S and X band links for housekeeping telemetry, commanding and ranging throughout the mission.
• Telemetry and telecommand protocols Packet and frame standards that let ground systems and spacecraft from different suppliers interoperate.
• Ranging and orbit determination Ranging, Doppler and GNSS-derived tracking that produce the orbit solutions every pass and manoeuvre depends on.
• Space link security Authentication and encryption of command and telemetry links so spacecraft accept only authorised commands.
• Conjunction assessment and collision avoidance Screening of close approaches and planning of avoidance manoeuvres using standard conjunction messages.
• Space situational awareness sensing Radar, optical and passive RF tracking of objects in orbit, and fusion of shared catalogue data.
• Space weather monitoring Solar and geomagnetic monitoring that predicts drag, charging, radiation and ionospheric effects on links and GNSS.
• Debris mitigation and end-of-life disposal Design and operations that limit debris and remove spacecraft from protected orbits after mission end.
• Rendezvous, proximity operations and on-orbit servicing Inspection, refuelling, life extension and removal missions that change how space assets are maintained.
