Inter-satellite and space-to-ground links.

Technologies

• RF inter-satellite links Ka and V band crosslinks that route traffic between satellites and reduce the number of gateways needed.
• Optical inter-satellite links Laser crosslinks giving multi-gigabit, low-interference routing in space without spectrum licensing.
• Optical space-to-ground links Laser downlinks to optical ground stations for very high data volumes, managed with site diversity against cloud.
• Pointing, acquisition and tracking Fine-steering mechanisms and control loops that keep narrow optical and high-gain RF beams locked between moving platforms.
• Space networking and delay-tolerant routing Bundle-based store-and-forward networking that tolerates link outages across constellations and relays.
• GEO data relay for LEO missions Relays in higher orbit that give near-continuous contact to LEO spacecraft and cut data latency.
• Space-based quantum key distribution Satellite links distributing quantum keys between distant ground sites as a research path for key exchange.
