Frontier and research.

Technologies

• 6G integrated terrestrial and non-terrestrial networks A single system where towers, HAPS and satellites act as one network with shared mobility and management.
• Orbital edge computing Compute in orbit that processes sensor and network data where it is collected, constrained by power, heat and radiation.
• Lunar and cislunar communications and navigation Relay and navigation services for missions beyond Earth orbit using interoperable lunar network standards.
• Autonomous constellation operations On-board and ground autonomy that plans, schedules and recovers spacecraft with fewer human passes.
• Space-based solar power Collecting solar energy in orbit and beaming it to ground receivers; a long-horizon research topic with spectrum questions.
• In-space assembly and manufacturing Building large antennas and structures in orbit that cannot fit in a launch fairing.
