01Deployment scenarios
4 ways the grid is deployed here.
From the sector research, each with the observatory template that serves it where one exists.
Scenario
Non-federal automated weather observing for small airports
Aviation-grade stations under the civil-aviation authority’s advisory circular; pricing not researched.
Sensors & instrumentsTemplate · wave-buoy-array
Maritime and port met-ocean with vessel tracking
Wave buoys and a receiver for vessel position broadcasts.
Sensors & instrumentsTemplate · highway-corridor
Highway corridor mobile coverage for safety
Small cells and satellite backhaul along unserved roads.
02Proof
What buyers ask to see.
The evidence a procurement in this sector asks for, from the sector research. Each item is produced by the grid as a record, not written up afterwards.
- Civil-aviation and transport-authority approvals where they apply
- Transportation specification conformance (NTCIP 1204)
- Maintenance service levels
