Field apps

Survey, commissioning and maintenance, offline first.

Field apps, inside Software: AI tower in a box, prefabricated and containerised modules, telecom and IT power systems, renewable and hybrid microgrids and more. Every item is traced to its specification, from EN 50600 (data centre facilities and infrastructures) to ETSI EN 300 019 (environmental conditions for telecom equipment), and runs on the open Observatory Protocol.

01What it is

Modular edge data centres and the AI tower in a box.

Compute placed where data is produced and decisions are needed: the device, far, near and regional edge tiers, multi-access edge computing, modular edge data centres including the AI tower in a box, servers and accelerators, storage, power and cooling, ruggedisation, fleet orchestration, OTA and GitOps, and the hardware trust that makes remote sites safe to run. Each technology below carries what it is, what we do with it, and the standard it is drawn against.

Compute and edge

AI tower in a box

A site package that combines RAN, accelerated compute, storage, power, cooling and backhaul at a tower or remote site.

We design, integrate, deploy, operate and maintain.

EN 50600 (data centre facilities and infrastructures) · ETSI EN 300 019 (environmental conditions for telecom equipment) · O-RAN WG6 Cloud Architecture and Deployment Scenarios

Compute and edge

Prefabricated and containerised modules

Factory-built enclosures and container data centres shipped and commissioned at site.

We design, integrate and deploy.

ISO 668 (freight container dimensions) · EN 50600

Compute and edge

Telecom and IT power systems

-48 V DC plants, UPS, batteries and generators sized for load and autonomy.

We design, deploy and maintain.

ETSI EN 300 132-2 (-48 V DC interface) · IEC 62040 (UPS)

Compute and edge

Renewable and hybrid microgrids

Solar, wind and storage with generator backup for off-grid and weak-grid sites.

We design, integrate, deploy and maintain.

IEEE 1547 (DER interconnection) · IEC 62933 (electrical energy storage systems)

Compute and edge

Physical security

Access control, intrusion detection and video for unattended sites.

We design, deploy and operate.

EN 50600-2-5 (security systems)

Compute and edge

Fire detection and suppression

Early detection and clean-agent suppression suited to small, unattended IT spaces.

We design, deploy and maintain.

NFPA 75 (fire protection of IT equipment) · NFPA 2001 (clean agent systems)

Compute and edge

Northern and permafrost site design

Foundations, heating and logistics for sites on permafrost and in extreme cold.

We design, deploy and maintain.

CSA S500 (thermosyphon foundations in permafrost) · CSA S501 (permafrost degradation and existing foundations)

Compute and edge

Commissioning and site acceptance

Structured tests of power, cooling, network and compute before a site carries live service.

We deploy and support.

ANSI/TIA-942 · EN 50600

Compute and edge

Device edge

Compute inside sensors, gateways, vehicles and robots that acts on data with no network round trip.

We design, integrate and deploy.

ISO/IEC 30141 (IoT reference architecture)

Where it sits, and what it speaks.

Field apps draws on 2 domains and 16 layers of the spectrum; the highlighted layers carry this area. It speaks 3 of the protocol’s 8 core functions.

01JoinIdentity, attestation quote, signed policy.

02AdmitAdmitted for a stated scope, nothing wider.

03DescribeWhat, where, how and by whom, with calibration.

04TimeOne clock across the grid, with its error bound.

05ObserveEvery value with quality and provenance.

06QualifyTested against the specification, state on record.

08OrchestrateSoftware and configuration by signed plan.

03On the grid

Every site joins one observing grid.

The open networks on the grid today, over real relief and the geodesic cells we count them into. A site built here enrols into the same grid.

Government and public safety

Alerting integration with the Common Alerting Protocol and cell broadcast

Software-heavy: sensor triggers feed an alert origination tool; the alert authority keeps every decision.
