  1. Climate · Solutions

The atmosphere, observed to the standard science needs

Surface, upper-air and composition networks, greenhouse-gas and methane measurement, Earth observation of heat, fire and ice, and data products that carry calibration and provenance from the instrument to the model. Needs: temperature, humidity and precipitation, greenhouse gases and methane, aerosols and air composition, heat, fire and ice from orbit and long, homogeneous records.

  2. Solution

    Hydrometeorological and flood observing networks

  7. Scenario

Methane fenceline and site-level continuous monitoring

Regulatory cadences in the EU and reporting levels in voluntary frameworks. It builds on the same base node, timing, trust and operations as every other climate deployment, so it can start small and grow site by site. Crews, software and records stay the same as the network grows.

  8. Scenario

Biodiversity measurement with acoustics and camera traps

Acoustic baselines as a biodiversity data source; no registry methodology accepting acoustic data was found. It builds on the same base node, timing, trust and operations as every other climate deployment, so it can start small and grow site by site.

  9. How it works

From instrument to record, in one chain

An instrument reads; the base node checks the value, stamps time and place, signs it and sends it over the link the site has: cellular, LoRaWAN, private 5G or satellite. The edge verifies the signature before admitting it, and the core catalogues it with its metadata, quality flag and licence.

  10. Trust

Every node proves what it is

A node joins only after its hardware root of trust answers an attestation challenge. Keys stay in secure hardware, software arrives signed, and every reading carries a signature, so its origin can be checked by anyone downstream without asking us.

  11. Time and place

Every reading carries when and where

Readings are stamped against a disciplined clock, from satellite time or a PTP grandmaster, together with the station position and its siting record. When time or position is degraded, the record says so instead of hiding it, and every analyst downstream sees the same warning.

  12. What you get

Open where it can be, contracted where it must be

The protocol, methods and open data are free to use and build on. Sites, fleets, managed operations and data tiers are delivered under contract by Nexus Observatory Inc., priced per site and per fleet, with service levels written as numbers you can measure on your own dashboard.

  13. Next step

    Plan a climate deployment

Tell us the sites, the measurements and the people who will use them. We reply with a design and a scope for climate. An engineer replies with a survey proposal and a scope, and the plan grows from one site to the network you need, at your pace.

01Specialized fields

Solutions shaped for each field.

Every offer is configured for the field it serves. Open a field for its stack, its data path and the questions buyers ask.

Specialized field

Greenhouse gas monitoring

Tall-tower and urban stations that measure carbon dioxide and methane to the global calibration scales, so emissions estimates and policies can be checked against the atmosphere. The full field →
Specialized field

Ecosystem carbon and water fluxes

Eddy covariance towers that measure how much carbon, water and energy forests, crops and wetlands exchange with the air, for climate science, carbon accounting and land management. The full field →
Specialized field

Climate reference stations

Long-term surface stations built to reference standards, with redundant sensors and complete metadata, so the climate record they keep is trusted for decades. The full field →
Specialized field

Glaciers, snow and mountain water

Glacier, snow and runoff stations in high mountains, measuring the ice and snow that store water for the valleys below and change fastest in a warming climate. The full field →

07Questions buyers ask

Before you scope it.

Who sells, and who owns the data?

Nexus Observatory Inc. is the seller of record. The data your systems collect stays yours, under the licence you choose.

Do we have to buy hardware?

No. We deliver as a managed service, a data licence or a system you own.

Can we start small?

Yes. Start with one station or one site, then grow to a fleet and a network on the same open protocol, without replacing what you bought.

Which standards do the systems meet?

Each system is drawn against the open protocol and the standards it is composed from, listed on this page.

What happens after go-live?

We run the systems to a written service level, with monitoring, repair and an evidence trail, or train your team to run them.

Ready when you are.
