Reference design, drawn to scale · drag to turn

1. Transport · Solutions Corridors that report their own conditions Road-weather and corridor sensing, avalanche and slope detection above the line, port and maritime observation, timing and positioning integrity, and connectivity along routes where coverage ends. Needs: road surface and visibility, slope, snow and avalanche, port and vessel conditions, positioning integrity and coverage along routes.
2. Solution Transport and logistics corridor sensing Road weather, rail condition, port and cold-chain sensing along corridors, with connectivity where coverage ends. For transport agencies, rail and port operators, logistics firms. Delivered as managed service and data licence. Corridor to network. Service levels are written as numbers you can measure. [Talk to sales](https://observatory.global/contact/sales-enquiry/)
3. Solution Ocean and coastal observing Moored buoys, profiling floats, tide and wave gauges, coastal radar and AIS reception with quality-controlled feeds. For ports, coastal agencies, offshore energy, fisheries. Delivered as managed service and data licence. Coastline to basin. It runs on the open Observatory Protocol, so other providers can join. [Talk to sales](https://observatory.global/contact/sales-enquiry/)
4. Solution Satellite and non-terrestrial backhaul LEO and GEO backhaul, 3GPP non-terrestrial integration and direct-to-device fallbacks for remote sites. For remote operators, humanitarian logistics, utilities. Delivered as managed service. Any latitude with coverage. It runs on the open Observatory Protocol, so other providers can join. Crews, software and records stay the same as the network grows. [Talk to sales](https://observatory.global/contact/sales-enquiry/)
5. Solution Timing and positioning integrity PTP grandmasters with GNSS holdover, interference detection and timing monitoring for networks and instruments. For carriers, utilities, financial infrastructure, observatories. Delivered as hardware + software and managed service. National timing fabrics. The same design repeats from the first site to the last. [Talk to sales](https://observatory.global/contact/sales-enquiry/)
6. Solution Structural and ground-movement monitoring GNSS, InSAR, tilt, strain and fibre sensing on bridges, dams, slopes, tailings and pipelines, with alert thresholds set by the owner. For infrastructure, mining and pipeline operators, transport agencies. Delivered as managed service and data licence. Asset portfolios. The same design repeats from the first site to the last. [Talk to sales](https://observatory.global/contact/sales-enquiry/)
7. Scenario Road weather information network for a transportation department Pavement and visibility stations with maintenance decision support. It builds on the same base node, timing, trust and operations as every other transport deployment, so it can start small and grow site by site. Crews, software and records stay the same as the network grows.
8. Scenario Non-federal automated weather observing for small airports Aviation-grade stations under the civil-aviation authority's advisory circular; pricing not researched. It builds on the same base node, timing, trust and operations as every other transport deployment, so it can start small and grow site by site. It runs on the open Observatory Protocol, so other providers can join.
9. How it works From instrument to record, in one chain An instrument reads; the base node checks the value, stamps time and place, signs it and sends it over the link the site has: cellular, LoRaWAN, private 5G or satellite. The edge verifies the signature before admitting it, and the core catalogues it with its metadata, quality flag and licence.
10. Trust Every node proves what it is A node joins only after its hardware root of trust answers an attestation challenge. Keys stay in secure hardware, software arrives signed, and every reading carries a signature, so its origin can be checked by anyone downstream without asking us.
11. Time and place Every reading carries when and where Readings are stamped against a disciplined clock, from satellite time or a PTP grandmaster, together with the station position and its siting record. When time or position is degraded, the record says so instead of hiding it, and every analyst downstream sees the same warning.
12. What you get Open where it can be, contracted where it must be The protocol, methods and open data are free to use and build on. Sites, fleets, managed operations and data tiers are delivered under contract by Nexus Observatory Inc., priced per site and per fleet, with service levels written as numbers you can measure on your own dashboard.
13. Next step Plan a transport deployment Tell us the sites, the measurements and the people who will use them. We reply with a design and a scope for transport. An engineer replies with a survey proposal and a scope, and the plan grows from one site to the network you need, at your pace. **07** Questions buyers ask

## Before you scope it.

Who sells, and who owns the data?

Nexus Observatory Inc. is the seller of record. The data your systems collect stays yours, under the licence you choose.

Do we have to buy hardware?

No. We deliver as a managed service, a data licence or a system you own.

Can we start small?

Yes. Start with one station or one site, then grow to a fleet and a network on the same open protocol, without replacing what you bought.

Which standards do the systems meet?

Each system is drawn against the open protocol and the standards it is composed from, listed on this page.

What happens after go-live?

We run the systems to a written service level, with monitoring, repair and an evidence trail, or train your team to run them.
