Public safety: warning time gained at the sensor: the site at a glance. The loop, step by step: 1. Dry wind crosses the forested ridge. 2. Sensor, link, edge and console stand ready. 3. Smoke rises on the far slope. 4. The camera sweeps and fixes a bearing. 5. Each reading is stamped with time and place. 6. Signed packets hop over the radio link. 7. Relays carry the packets without reading them. 8. The edge verifies every signature first. 9. The edge model confirms smoke and plots the fix. 10. Only a confirmed result leaves the edge. 11. Dispatch receives the bearing and a snapshot. 12. The console shows the evidence with the alert. 13. Sirens warn the valley while crews roll. 14. Sensors check that the response worked. 15. Record, proof and action are archived together. 16. The smoke clears and the camera keeps watch.

# Warning time, gained at the sensor.

Observing networks, communications and data for emergency management: hydromet and fire-weather stations, camera towers with inference at the edge, deployable cells for incident command, and the integration that hands a trigger to the alerting authority, which keeps every decision.

**03** Specialized fields

## Public safety, field by field.

Public safety is a set of hazards that each give a different warning time and call for a different response. A wildfire seen from a tower, a flash flood rising in a street, a slope starting to move, an earthquake's first waves, an avalanche above a road and an incident where crews need their own network each measure different things for different agencies. Each field below has its own stack, radio, power and crew work, from the first order to the running operation.

**04** The problem

## What this industry has to measure.

Emergency management, wildfire, flood and early-warning delivery. The demand signal is data gaps and sustained operation, not hardware.

**01**

Rainfall, river level and soil moisture

**02**

Fire weather, smoke and ignition

**03**

Ground movement and seismic activity

**04**

Communications at the incident base

**05**

Reporting uptime and data latency

The line we hold

Warnings, alerts and official acts stay with the competent authority. We supply the observing systems, the data and the evidence behind them.

**11** Questions buyers ask

## Before you scope it.

Who sells, and who owns the data?

Nexus Observatory Inc. is the seller of record. The data your systems collect stays yours, under the licence you choose.

Do we have to buy hardware?

No. We deliver as a managed service, a data licence or a system you own.

Can we start small?

Yes. Start with one station or one site, then grow to a fleet and a network on the same open protocol, without replacing what you bought.

Which standards do the systems meet?

Each system is drawn against the open protocol and the standards it is composed from, listed on this page.

Who issues warnings and official decisions?

Warnings, alerts and official acts stay with the competent authority. We supply the observing systems, the data and the evidence behind them.

What happens after go-live?

We run the systems to a written service level, with monitoring, repair and an evidence trail, or train your team to run them.
