Oceans: from the coastline to the open ocean: what we deliver. The loop, step by step: 1. A valley site at first light. 2. Sensor, link, edge and console stand ready. 3. Cloud and wind sweep up the valley. 4. The station and the vault register it. 5. Each reading is stamped with time and place. 6. Signed packets hop over the radio link. 7. The relay forwards sealed packets untouched. 8. Signatures are checked before any model runs. 9. The edge model checks it against its limit. 10. The edge releases confirmed results only. 11. The alert reaches the operator console. 12. The console shows the evidence with the alert. 13. The whole chain is archived for audit. 14. Everything settles back to idle.

# What we deliver for oceans.

Enterprise offers, each designed, deployed and run on the open protocol, and each linked to the service platforms that build it.

[Plan a deployment](https://observatory.global/contact/deployment/)

[Use cases](https://observatory.global/industries/oceans/use-cases/)

[Open the explainer](https://observatory.global/industries/oceans/explainer/)

1. Oceans · Solutions From the coastline to the open ocean Wave buoys and tide gauges, profiling floats and coastal water quality, ports and shipping lanes, and satellite links where no cable runs, with every observation carrying its position, time and quality flag. Needs: waves, tides and sea level, water temperature and salinity, coastal water quality, port and vessel conditions and connectivity at sea.
2. Solution Ocean and coastal observing Moored buoys, profiling floats, tide and wave gauges, coastal radar and AIS reception with quality-controlled feeds. For ports, coastal agencies, offshore energy, fisheries. Delivered as managed service and data licence. Coastline to basin. It runs on the open Observatory Protocol, so other providers can join. [Talk to sales](https://observatory.global/contact/sales-enquiry/)
3. Solution Satellite and non-terrestrial backhaul LEO and GEO backhaul, 3GPP non-terrestrial integration and direct-to-device fallbacks for remote sites. For remote operators, humanitarian logistics, utilities. Delivered as managed service. Any latitude with coverage. It runs on the open Observatory Protocol, so other providers can join. Crews, software and records stay the same as the network grows. [Talk to sales](https://observatory.global/contact/sales-enquiry/)
4. Solution Earth observation tasking, processing and change detection SAR and optical acquisition planning, analysis-ready processing and change detection checked against field truth, delivered as STAC and COG. For insurers, lenders, agencies, infrastructure and resource operators. Delivered as data licence and professional services. Global. Changes are versioned, tested and reversible. [Talk to sales](https://observatory.global/contact/sales-enquiry/)
5. Solution Transport and logistics corridor sensing Road weather, rail condition, port and cold-chain sensing along corridors, with connectivity where coverage ends. For transport agencies, rail and port operators, logistics firms. Delivered as managed service and data licence. Corridor to network. Service levels are written as numbers you can measure. [Talk to sales](https://observatory.global/contact/sales-enquiry/)
6. Solution Observation data products and evidence bundles Licensed feeds and archives with metadata, quality flags and provenance on every value; evidence bundles for audits and claims processes. For analytics platforms, insurers, lenders, researchers, agencies. Delivered as data licence and API. Global catalogue. Service levels are written as numbers you can measure. [Talk to sales](https://observatory.global/contact/sales-enquiry/)
7. Scenario Methane fenceline and site-level continuous monitoring Regulatory cadences in the EU and reporting levels in voluntary frameworks. It builds on the same base node, timing, trust and operations as every other oceans deployment, so it can start small and grow site by site. Crews, software and records stay the same as the network grows.
8. Scenario Biodiversity measurement with acoustics and camera traps Acoustic baselines as a biodiversity data source; no registry methodology accepting acoustic data was found. It builds on the same base node, timing, trust and operations as every other oceans deployment, so it can start small and grow site by site.
9. How it works From instrument to record, in one chain An instrument reads; the base node checks the value, stamps time and place, signs it and sends it over the link the site has: cellular, LoRaWAN, private 5G or satellite. The edge verifies the signature before admitting it, and the core catalogues it with its metadata, quality flag and licence.
10. Trust Every node proves what it is A node joins only after its hardware root of trust answers an attestation challenge. Keys stay in secure hardware, software arrives signed, and every reading carries a signature, so its origin can be checked by anyone downstream without asking us.
11. Time and place Every reading carries when and where Readings are stamped against a disciplined clock, from satellite time or a PTP grandmaster, together with the station position and its siting record. When time or position is degraded, the record says so instead of hiding it, and every analyst downstream sees the same warning.
12. What you get Open where it can be, contracted where it must be The protocol, methods and open data are free to use and build on. Sites, fleets, managed operations and data tiers are delivered under contract by Nexus Observatory Inc., priced per site and per fleet, with service levels written as numbers you can measure on your own dashboard.
13. Next step Plan an oceans deployment Tell us the sites, the measurements and the people who will use them. We reply with a design and a scope for oceans. An engineer replies with a survey proposal and a scope, and the plan grows from one site to the network you need, at your pace. **07** Questions buyers ask

## Before you scope it.

Who sells, and who owns the data?

Nexus Observatory Inc. is the seller of record. The data your systems collect stays yours, under the licence you choose.

Do we have to buy hardware?

No. We deliver as a managed service, a data licence or a system you own.

Can we start small?

Yes. Start with one station or one site, then grow to a fleet and a network on the same open protocol, without replacing what you bought.

Which standards do the systems meet?

Each system is drawn against the open protocol and the standards it is composed from, listed on this page.

What happens after go-live?

We run the systems to a written service level, with monitoring, repair and an evidence trail, or train your team to run them.

### Ready when you are.
