Reference design, drawn to scale · drag to turn

1. Government · Solutions National observing infrastructure, delivered as one programme Programmes that build a country's observing capability: national station networks, connectivity for remote sites, data platforms every ministry can read, and the qualification and training that keep it running long after commissioning. Needs: gaps in national network coverage, data exchange across agencies, station uptime and data completeness, skills to operate and maintain and evidence for funders and auditors.
2. Solution National observing network programmes Build-operate-transfer of national observing infrastructure as digital public infrastructure, with transfer of skills and records. For governments, development lenders financing them. Delivered as build-operate-transfer and professional services. National. It is delivered and supported by Nexus Observatory Inc. The evidence travels with the data wherever it goes. [Talk to sales](https://observatory.global/contact/sales-enquiry/)
3. Solution Private and federated observing grids Design and operation of an organisation's own grid on the open protocol, with provider admission, device qualification and federation across trust domains. For national programmes, networks of agencies, OEMs, large enterprises. Delivered as managed service and professional services. National to multinational. [Talk to sales](https://observatory.global/contact/sales-enquiry/)
4. Solution Observation data products and evidence bundles Licensed feeds and archives with metadata, quality flags and provenance on every value; evidence bundles for audits and claims processes. For analytics platforms, insurers, lenders, researchers, agencies. Delivered as data licence and API. Global catalogue. Service levels are written as numbers you can measure. [Talk to sales](https://observatory.global/contact/sales-enquiry/)
5. Solution Operator and technician training on delivered systems Hands-on courses for customer staff on the systems they run; no public credentials are issued by the group. For customers operating delivered systems. Delivered as professional services. Per programme. Service levels are written as numbers you can measure. It is delivered and supported by Nexus Observatory Inc. [Talk to sales](https://observatory.global/contact/sales-enquiry/)
6. Solution Device and software qualification against the protocol Test programmes that show a device or release meets the protocol for a stated scope, with published results. For OEMs, integrators, software vendors. Delivered as professional services. Global vendor base. It is delivered and supported by Nexus Observatory Inc. The evidence travels with the data wherever it goes. [Talk to sales](https://observatory.global/contact/sales-enquiry/)
7. Scenario National GBON surface and upper-air network WMO-grade stations reporting through WIS 2.0, funded through the systematic-observations financing pathway. It builds on the same base node, timing, trust and operations as every other government deployment, so it can start small and grow site by site. It runs on the open Observatory Protocol, so other providers can join.
8. Scenario Wildfire camera network and fire-weather stations Camera towers with edge inference and co-located fire-weather stations, utility- or agency-funded. It builds on the same base node, timing, trust and operations as every other government deployment, so it can start small and grow site by site. Changes are versioned, tested and reversible.
9. How it works From instrument to record, in one chain An instrument reads; the base node checks the value, stamps time and place, signs it and sends it over the link the site has: cellular, LoRaWAN, private 5G or satellite. The edge verifies the signature before admitting it, and the core catalogues it with its metadata, quality flag and licence.
10. Trust Every node proves what it is A node joins only after its hardware root of trust answers an attestation challenge. Keys stay in secure hardware, software arrives signed, and every reading carries a signature, so its origin can be checked by anyone downstream without asking us.
11. Time and place Every reading carries when and where Readings are stamped against a disciplined clock, from satellite time or a PTP grandmaster, together with the station position and its siting record. When time or position is degraded, the record says so instead of hiding it, and every analyst downstream sees the same warning.
12. What you get Open where it can be, contracted where it must be The protocol, methods and open data are free to use and build on. Sites, fleets, managed operations and data tiers are delivered under contract by Nexus Observatory Inc., priced per site and per fleet, with service levels written as numbers you can measure on your own dashboard.
13. Next step Plan a government deployment Tell us the sites, the measurements and the people who will use them. We reply with a design and a scope for government. An engineer replies with a survey proposal and a scope, and the plan grows from one site to the network you need, at your pace. **07** Questions buyers ask

## Before you scope it.

Who sells, and who owns the data?

Nexus Observatory Inc. is the seller of record. The data your systems collect stays yours, under the licence you choose.

Do we have to buy hardware?

No. We deliver as a managed service, a data licence or a system you own.

Can we start small?

Yes. Start with one station or one site, then grow to a fleet and a network on the same open protocol, without replacing what you bought.

Which standards do the systems meet?

Each system is drawn against the open protocol and the standards it is composed from, listed on this page.

Who issues warnings and official decisions?

Warnings, alerts and official acts stay with the competent authority. We supply the observing systems, the data and the evidence behind them.

What happens after go-live?

We run the systems to a written service level, with monitoring, repair and an evidence trail, or train your team to run them.
