Reference design, drawn to scale · drag to turn

1. Education · Solutions Every school, a working observatory School and campus observatories on real instruments, student data on the same grid as the professionals', technician training on delivered systems, and learning paths from first principles to a commissioned site. Needs: weather and air at the school, data students can analyse, hands-on instruments, technician skills and materials for teachers.
2. Solution Sensing as a Service Observation networks designed, installed, operated and maintained for a monthly fee: weather, hydromet, air, seismic and environmental stations, with data delivered under a licence. For agencies, utilities, municipalities, insurers, agribusiness. Delivered as managed service and data licence. Global, multi-site, per-site pricing. [Talk to sales](https://observatory.global/contact/sales-enquiry/)
3. Solution Operator and technician training on delivered systems Hands-on courses for customer staff on the systems they run; no public credentials are issued by the group. For customers operating delivered systems. Delivered as professional services. Per programme. Service levels are written as numbers you can measure. It is delivered and supported by Nexus Observatory Inc. [Talk to sales](https://observatory.global/contact/sales-enquiry/)
4. Solution Research site and instrument services Site power, connectivity, timing and operations for telescopes, flux towers and research stations. For universities, research infrastructures, space agencies. Delivered as managed service and professional services. Global research sites. It is delivered and supported by Nexus Observatory Inc. The evidence travels with the data wherever it goes. [Talk to sales](https://observatory.global/contact/sales-enquiry/)
5. Solution Hybrid air-quality networks Reference analysers plus calibrated low-cost nodes, with co-location calibration and an open-data interface. For cities, environment agencies, industrial sites. Delivered as managed service and data licence. City-wide to national. The same design repeats from the first site to the last. [Talk to sales](https://observatory.global/contact/sales-enquiry/)
6. Scenario State or provincial mesonet run by a university Dense tower networks funded after disasters and by state budgets. It builds on the same base node, timing, trust and operations as every other education deployment, so it can start small and grow site by site. Service levels are written as numbers you can measure.
7. Scenario School weather, air and seismic station programmes Hosted sensors and seismographs with classroom datasets. It builds on the same base node, timing, trust and operations as every other education deployment, so it can start small and grow site by site. The same design repeats from the first site to the last.
8. How it works From instrument to record, in one chain An instrument reads; the base node checks the value, stamps time and place, signs it and sends it over the link the site has: cellular, LoRaWAN, private 5G or satellite. The edge verifies the signature before admitting it, and the core catalogues it with its metadata, quality flag and licence.
9. Trust Every node proves what it is A node joins only after its hardware root of trust answers an attestation challenge. Keys stay in secure hardware, software arrives signed, and every reading carries a signature, so its origin can be checked by anyone downstream without asking us.
10. Time and place Every reading carries when and where Readings are stamped against a disciplined clock, from satellite time or a PTP grandmaster, together with the station position and its siting record. When time or position is degraded, the record says so instead of hiding it, and every analyst downstream sees the same warning.
11. How it scales One base unit, repeated A programme starts with one base node and the instruments it reads. A station adds power and radio, a site adds a relay, a fleet repeats the proven site across many places, and a network federates fleets through edge and core. Capacity grows by adding units, never by replacing what works.
12. What you get Open where it can be, contracted where it must be The protocol, methods and open data are free to use and build on. Sites, fleets, managed operations and data tiers are delivered under contract by Nexus Observatory Inc., priced per site and per fleet, with service levels written as numbers you can measure on your own dashboard.
13. Next step Plan an education deployment Tell us the sites, the measurements and the people who will use them. We reply with a design and a scope for education. An engineer replies with a survey proposal and a scope, and the plan grows from one site to the network you need, at your pace. **01** Specialized fields

## Solutions shaped for each field.

Every offer is configured for the field it serves. Open a field for its stack, its data path and the questions buyers ask.

[Specialized field Classroom air and ventilationCarbon dioxide, temperature, humidity and particle sensing in every classroom, so schools ventilate when needed, keep rooms comfortable and show parents the air is good. The full field →](https://observatory.global/industries/education/classroom-air/)

[Specialized field Technician training and qualificationTraining labs with real stations, calibration benches and network equipment, where technicians learn to install, calibrate and repair observing systems and earn recognised qualifications. The full field →](https://observatory.global/industries/education/technician-training/)

[Specialized field Safe schoolsEarthquake, flood and heat sensing at schools, linked to warnings and drills, so schools protect students, stay open and recover quickly after hazards. The full field →](https://observatory.global/industries/education/school-safety/)

**02** Solution bundles

## Start with one unit. Grow to a network.

The same systems at every scale, on the open protocol, so nothing you buy is replaced as you grow.

1. **01** Base unit One station or node, specified for this industry: instruments, power, enclosure and backhaul. [Build a station →](https://observatory.global/studio/builder/)
2. **02** Site A surveyed, commissioned site with its timing, its links and the evidence file a buyer can audit. [Plan a site →](https://observatory.global/contact/deployment/)
3. **03** Fleet Many sites run as one service: one plan, one update path, one evidence trail, one service level. [Managed offers →](https://observatory.global/industries/education/solutions/)
4. **04** Network Fleets that federate with partner grids through the open protocol, owner by owner. [The open protocol →](https://observatory.global/protocol/)

## From first call to a running site.

**01**

### Scope

What you need to observe, where, and to what standard. A written scope you can share internally.

**02**

### Design

Survey, a reference design, a bill of materials and a plan, drawn against the protocol and the standards.

**03**

### Deploy and run

Installation, commissioning on test, then operation by your team or ours, with evidence on record.

**07** Questions buyers ask

## Before you scope it.

Who sells, and who owns the data?

Nexus Observatory Inc. is the seller of record. The data your systems collect stays yours, under the licence you choose.

Do we have to buy hardware?

No. We deliver as a managed service, a data licence or a system you own.

Can we start small?

Yes. Start with one station or one site, then grow to a fleet and a network on the same open protocol, without replacing what you bought.

Which standards do the systems meet?

Each system is drawn against the open protocol and the standards it is composed from, listed on this page.

What happens after go-live?

We run the systems to a written service level, with monitoring, repair and an evidence trail, or train your team to run them.
